European Commission want to create a stronger and more circular economy where resources are used in a more sustainable way. The ‘Circular Economy Package’, adopted today, proposes actions that will contribute to ‘closing the loop’ of product life-cycles through greater recycling and re-use for the benefit of both the environment and the economy.
