The University of Minho (UMinho) located in Portugal is renowned for the public recognition given to its Alumni and for its intervention and strong links with the local community and the surrounding region. Nowadays, the University continues to strengthen its status as a center of production of knowledge for international recognition. A space for talent, creativity and attraction by focusing on the development of research, in areas of major impact and by increasing its level of internationalization through partnerships, mobility of teachers and attraction of researchers and foreign students.

The group that will be active in BAMB Project is the Sustainable Construction Group, belonging to the Civil Engineering Department, one of the ten Departments of the School of Engineering. This Department is responsible for one International Doctoral course and one International Master Course in Sustainable Built Environment and has two research centres: ISISE – Institute for Sustainability and Innovation in Structural Engineering and CTAC – Centre for Territory, Environment and Construction.

 

The Sustainable Construction group involved in BAMB project  belongs to C-TAC research center and has expertise in sustainable development, building technology, building thermal performance, nearly zero-energy buildings, ventilation, indoor air quality, lighting in buildings, integration of renewable energies, building acoustics, life cycle analysis  and building rehabilitation.
